Health System Partner Project Submission

Submit a health system initiative to partner with E-STAR

To include your QI or operations project/initiative among the E-STAR approved projects list for scholars to select from, please:

Complete the brief Qualtrics application regarding your improvement initiative/program.
Send any A3s, project charters, project updates/summaries, or other information that provides us sufficient information to review your program for inclusion to [email protected].

Some basic criteria we use for approving health system initiatives:

The initiative is a priority to the health system as reflected by having ongoing/multiple improvement cycles (or for newer initiatives, health system investment for project management and implementation).
The initiative has in place the data infrastructure necessary to support research projects
The initiative has a sponsor and project director who will support the scholar’s participation and contributions
The initiative has an A3 or project charter that can be used by the Scholar to develop an LHS research protocol for their project.

The Scholar/Center enhances the Health System initiative by providing project leadership and management and leveraging E-STAR Center resources to produce a more robust improvement program that includes:

Intervention design and change management experience of the Center’s faculty/mentors
Data analytics and EHR engineering & design support

E-STAR scholars will receive project and professional development mentorship and approximately $25,000 for project-related costs. Faculty and staff E-STAR scholars may also use stipends for salary support, after covering any required course tuition or project-related expenses. Primary Project Mentors are also eligible for $2500 stipends.
